Fernando Hernandez Leiva
Fernando is an Analytics Developer for the Centre for Advanced Computing at Queen’s University. In his role, he is an agile project manager who leads software development research projects, facilitates research support training, and provides consultation support for research-related projects.
Fernando’s specialization in software development ranges from web applications to command-line programs that collect, process, and analyze data using visualizations, statistic models, machine learning, and AI. Fernando focuses on human-centered solutions, implementing design thinking and user experience research techniques.
As a Research Instructor, he develops and delivers research support sessions to the local and regional research community, as well as for government and industry partners, to increase accessibility to valuable programming skills and other research support resources.
