Lucas Lapczyk

Security Engineer

Lucas has been with the CAC as a Security Engineer since 2015. He holds a Master of Science in Computing from Queen’s University where he researched behavioral analytics within encrypted network communications. Previously, Lucas earned a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems and Management and a Diploma for Graduates in Social Sciences from the University of London (LSE-led). Lucas has been certified in IT since 2007 – he earned certifications from Microsoft, Cisco, Red Hat and ISC2. In 2010, he competed in the Imagine Cup IT Challenge where he took first place in Canada (second in North America and ninth worldwide). The following year he became a worldwide semi-finalist in the 2011 edition of the Imagine Cup IT Challenge. Additionally, he participated in multiple security trainings, events, and activities.
